Best practices in the assessment and treatment of children & youth
We offer both brief psychological assessments for treatment planning, and comprehensive psychoeducational assessments for people ages 6 to 21.
We are North Grenville's leaders in the provision of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and other effective treatments for children and youth (ages 4 to 18). We do not offer supportive counselling or life coaching.
Our team of registered professionals consists of psychologists , psychotherapists psychometrists and support staff.
The Kemptville Psychology difference is that we are a 'psychology clinic' emanating from the first clinic opened in 1896 by Dr L. Witmer. Witmer's vision was that the latest psychological science of time could be leveraged to better support children and adolescents at school and home. This was the start of the field of psychology known as 'clinical psychology'.
At our psychological clinic, a licensed psychologist is involved to help coordinate and oversee your care at every stage of your care with us. The psychologist works with a team of professionals at the clinic to provide assessment and treatment for children and adolescents with anxiety, mood, learning and behaviour disorders. We use assessment and treatment tools that have been found to be reliably helpful in most indicated situations in months - not years.
Take a look at the Assessment and Treatment pages to find out more about how we hope to elevate the expectations of receiving support for for children and youth!
We are a member of the Psychological Services of Eastern Ontario (with offices in Brockville and Kemptville) and our offices will work together to try to find the best psychologist for your child's needs.
